Colour Tone: Deep iron-rich brown with reddish undertones

Description: A dense earthy brown inspired by wet terracotta clay and oxidized mineral soil. Rich, grounding, and organic with natural warmth.

Recommended Stain Percentage in Stoneware Clay:

• Light earthy wash: 1–2%
• Balanced terracotta brown: 3–5%
• Deep saturated brown: 6–8%

Intensity Behaviour: Very stable and forgiving. Produces strong warm body colour even at moderate percentages.

Best Firing Range: 1000–1300°C

Works Best when 

• Mixed with slip
• Used as a wash
• Mixed in glaze
