Colour Tone: Deep raspberry red with burgundy and wine undertones
Description: A mature, velvety red inspired by fermented berries, oxidized minerals, and molten glaze surfaces. This tone sits between crimson and burgundy, carrying both warmth and depth with a slightly organic, volcanic texture under transparent glaze.
Recommended Stain Percentage in Stoneware Clay:
- Soft dusty berry: 1–2%
- Muted wine red: 3–4%
- Rich raspberry tone: 5–6%
- Deep burgundy saturation: 7–9%
- Ultra intense dramatic red: 10%+ (testing advised)
Intensity Behaviour: This stain behaves differently from bright cadmium reds
At lower percentages:
- dusty rose
- muted berry
- faded oxide pink
At medium percentages:
- raspberry red
- cranberry tone
- earthy crimson
At higher percentages:
- deep wine red
- burgundy
- volcanic blood-red
Best Firing Range: 1000–1300°C
