Colour Tone: Saturated warm red with coral undertones

Description: A vivid cinematic red inspired by molten lava, oxidized minerals, and liquid pigment. Strongly expressive with rich warmth and high visual intensity under transparent glaze.

Recommended Stain Percentage in Stoneware Clay:

• Soft blush red: 1–2%
• Balanced coral-crimson body: 3–5%
• Strong saturated red: 6–8%
• Ultra intense statement red: 8–10% (test recommended)

Intensity Behaviour:

This stain family has:

• High chroma
• Strong visual dominance
• Excellent glaze response in oxidation firing

At lower percentages, the colour becomes:

• dusty coral
• warm terracotta pink

At higher percentages:

• deep crimson
• lava red
• intense studio red-orange

Best Firing Range: 1000–1300°C

Works Best when 

• Mixed with slip
• Used as a wash
• Mixed in glaze
